The Dell Venue 8 7000 Series is an Android tablet with an Intel Atom Moorefield processor, a high-resolution display, an Intel RealSense Snapshot camera, and a super-slim case: the tablet measure just 6mm, or about 0.24 inches thick.

Dell’s expected to start selling the tablet for around $499 in the next few weeks, and this week the tablet showed up at the FCC website, where you can find a user manual and photos, along with wireless test results.

The tablet has an 8.4 inch, 2560 x 1600 pixel OLED display, an Intel Atom Z3500 series processor, and Intel’s RealSense Snapshot camera wich lets you shoot 3D images and apply 3D effects to pictures even after you’ve snapped them.

The FCC documents reveal that the tablet has a 21 Wh battery and that it uses a micro USB cable to charge. There are also photos that show what the tablet looks like when you take it apart, in case you wanted to get a closer look at that RealSense camera.

Dell’s tablet has a microSD card slot and it looks like Dell plans to offer an LTE/HSPA+ modlel with a SIM card slot.

  1. Looks like I may be upgrading my original Venue 8 Pro after I pay the holiday bills . . . unless they change to a Wacom digitizer in which case my credit card is waiting and my family’s getting squat.
