The first Asus laptop to feature an Intel Core M processor is on the way. Asus introduced the Zenbook UX305 ultrabook with a low-power Intel Core M Broadwell processor in September.

This week the thin and light laptop showed up at the FCC website. It should be available for purchase soon.

The notebook features a 13.3 inch, 3200 x 1800 pixel display and an Intel Core M 5Y10 processor. It measures less than half an inch thick and weighs about 2.6 pounds.

Asus says you should get up around 10 hours of battery life thanks to the laptop’s low-power processor. Other features include Bang & Olufsen speakers, 802.11ac WiFI, HDMI, 3 USB ports, and an SD card reader.

The laptop will be available with up to 256GB of solid state storage, and Asus will offer models with an “obsidian stone” metal finish or a white ceramic alloy lid.

I haven’t seen any word on pricing yet… but I don’t expect the Zenbook UX305 to be cheap.

  1. The Intel Core M5Y10 is too weak for an Ultrabook., they need a 5Y70

  2. Where the hell is the ASUSPRO BU201? Why do we need another ten macbook air clones

  3. I wonder if they will release a cheaper option with 1080p display and 128GB SSD

    1. I can confirm they will !

In France a website is pre-selling a UX305 model with those specs, at 599€ for now, but the full retail price for that model will be 699€.

          1. thanks! Looks promising. Wonder that the Canadian pricing will be for the 1080p model
