Panasonic is launching its first notebook with a low-power Intel Core M Broadwell processor this month. The Panasonic Let’s Note RZ4 is a 10 inch portable notebook that will be available in Japan starting October 17th for about 160,000 yen, or less than $1500.

That price might seem a bit high, but it’s in line with prices for other members of the Panasonic Let’s Note series… and you probably won’t be able buy this laptop outside of Japan anyway.

Update: Dynamism is now offering the Panasonic RZ in the US for $1749 and up.

The Panasonic Let’s Note RZ4 features a 10.1 inch, 1920 x 1200 pixel IPS touchscreen display which you can push back 360 degrees to transform the notebook into a handheld tablet.

It also features an Intel Core M-5Y10 processor, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of solid state storage, and runs Windows 8.1 64-bit software.

The notebook features 802.11ac WiFi, a webcam, HDMI and USB 3.0 ports, and Gigabit Ethernet. It has a 4860mAh battery which Panasonic says should last for up to 14 hours.

The Let’s Note RZ4 measures less than 0.8 inches thick and weighs about 1.65 pounds.

  1. why dont they sell this outside japan i would pick this over all the rubbish that we get to choose from

  2. I’d buy this if I can get it in the US without going through some importer.

  3. looks like something dynamism would carry

, though there is no mention of it on their website as of yet

    1. Too bad the extra cost Dynamism needs to add to the price in order to actually make a profit is too high for me. It’d really be great if Panasonic officially sells their Let’s Note line in the US. I’d likely buy it then.

    2. I’ve always wanted to buy the 10″ screened Let’s Note notebooks but I’ve only seen Dynamisim sell them. Due to the whole importing costs, the price is just too high on an already high priced device. If only Panasonic released their Let’s Note devices in the US.

    3. It seems Dynamism isn’t even selling the previous 10″ Let’s Note notebooks.

  4. I’d pay $1200 if it had 8 GB of RAM, fanless and came in a graphite color.

  5. I like the old school square body. None of this trendy wedge stuff. 🙂

  6. 16:10? LIKE!

Seriously, if not for the price and the x86 processor, it would be a buy.

  7. How is it a nonstarter? it seems to me that you can get some chick to look at you longingly if you carry this around and are you sharply dressed Japanese businessman … what more could you ask for? Seriously I’m very impressed. The 10 inch thing is amazing and the screen resolution would make it worthwhile.
