Some smartwatches arguably look better than others. But so far most wearable gadgets haven’t exactly been fashionable.
Intel is looking to change that with a new smart bracelet called the MICA. The company developed the tablet in partnership with Barneys New York, where it’ll sell for under $1,000. That’s potentially a high price for a wearable gadget that’s not a Google beta product), but high fashion has never been cheap.
MICA stands for My Intelligent Communication, Accessory, and it’ll be available in black or white snakeskin designs with pearls and other stones.
Each model has a 1.6 inch curved sapphire touchscreen display, a 3G radio, and the ability to display notifications. You can use it whether it’s paired with a smartphone or not. It supports wireless charging.
Intel will show off the MICA at Fashion Week in New York, with more details coming later this year.
Clunky looking and unattractive.
Yeah, high fashion.
From the picture, must be some kind of anorexia-monitoring device ?
