Ematic is probably best known for offering extraordinarily cheap Android tablets. Now the company is getting ready to launch a fitness tracker, and while I haven’t seen an official price yet, I’m guessing it’ll also be inexpensive.
The Ematic TrackBand SB312 showed up this week at the FCC website.
The TrackBand can count steps, track distance traveled, and estimate calories burned. It’ll also track sleep quality. It has a small display that can show the latest stats, and you can also use it as a watch thanks to a time view. There’s also an alarm clock function that will cause the band to vibrate and a light to flash when the alarm goes off.
According to the user guide, the Ematic Trackband will be able to pair with Android or iOS devices over Bluetooth, allowing you to see your fitness stats on your phone and to set alarms from your phone.
The TrackBand has two parts: the fitness tracker itself and the wristband. You can detach the tracker from the wristband and plug it into a USB charger to recharge the battery.
Ematic says the device is water resistant enough to handle rain and hand washing, but warns against wearing it in the shower or while swimming.
I think this may have also shown up at CES 2014. Or was that a smartwatch?
That looks exactly like the Vidonn X5 I’m wearing right now…
I just want to say, this is the Vidonn x5 oem products…
