Acer is unveiling 2 new convertible notebooks that can transition from laptop to tablet mode.

The Acer Aspire R 13 is a 13.3 inch notebook with hinge that lets you flip the screen so it faces away from the keyboard. Fold the lid down and you can use the device in tablet mode. It’ll be available in October for $899 and up.

The Aspire R 14 features  14 inch display and a Lenovo Yoga-like 360 degree hinge that lets you switch from notebook to tablet mode and back again. It launches this October for $599 and up.

Acer says the “Ezel Aero” hinge for the R 13 Series lets you choose from 6 different display positions including notebook, tablet, stand and tent modes. There’s also a stand mode and an easel mode which lets you sort of float the screen over the keyboard.

The Aspire R13 will be available with a choice of 1920 x 1080 pixel or 2560 x 1440 pixel IPS displays and the convertible notebook supports input from an optional digital pen for writing, drawing, or hovering.

Acer will offer models with an Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of solid state storage.
