Most of the new Android tablets Asus unveiled this summer are entry-level models with Intel Atom Bay Trail processors and 1280 x 800 pixel displays. But if you prefer tablets with full HD screens, Asus has you covered.

The company’s new Transformer Pad TF303 line of Android tablets feature 10.1 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel displays. They’re not yet available in the US, but Mobile Geeks reports that at least two versions of the Transformer Pad TF303 should be available in Europe this September for 299 Euros and up (That’s just under $400 US).

The Asus Transformer Pad tablets are defined by the optional keyboard docks that let you use the devices like notebooks. I recently reviewed the Transformer Pad TF103 and found the tablet to be nice, but I didn’t find the keyboard all that useful.

As for the new models, the Asus Transformer Pad TF303CL features an Intel Atom Z3745 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB to 32GB of storage, and a 1920 x 1200 pixel display. It’s basically what you’d get if you took the TF103 and added more memory and a higher-resolution display.

The Asus Transformer Pad TF303K, on the other hand, features a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro ARM-based processor. It also has a full HD display, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage.

Both tablets feature Google Android 4.4 KitKat software with the Asus ZenUI user interface. The ARM-based tablet should be available in September for 299 Euros without the keyboard or 349 Euros with it. The Intel-powered TF303CL will sell for 349 Euros without a keyboard and 399 Euros with one.

  1. Do remember that EU has VAT and that on average is some 24-25% so if you deduct that, 299 euros would translate to some 320$ so could actually retail for 300$ if it ever comes to the US.

  2. An extra $50 for the Intel “Bay Trail” version…??

    So much for “Contra-Revenue”.

    1. Nope, has nothing to do with that… Asus is just giving the Intel version LTE and WLAN dual band support but not on the ARM version that’ll only get the WLAN dual band support…

Besides, the Intel version is 64bit and means you can run full 64bit Android now and not have to wait for the 64bit ARMv8 SoCs to come out later…

Also, if the article is correct then the Intel version is also the only one that supports 32GB storage as the ARM version is indicated with only 16GB…

      1. That’s OK then … extra $$ for a “premium product” 🙂

Unusual to see a Qualcomm product being the one that lacks LTE

        1. True, was a bit surprised myself when I found out that detail… But it seems Asus has become Intel’s partner this year with probably the most Intel based Android devices I’ve seen released from any one company…
