FreedomPop offers free limited wireless data, voice, and text to smartphone users. Now the company’s branching out into tablets.
You can pick up an iPad mini or Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 from FreedomPop and use the tablet to make phone calls, surf the web, or send text messages for free using FreedomPop’s voice over IP network.
Existing tablet owners can also bring their own 4G LTE tablet.
Customers will get 500MB of 4G data, 200 voice minutes, and 500 text messages for free. That’s the same deal FreedomPop offers for smartphone customers.
If you need more than that, you can pay for a premium plan.
FreedomPop sells an iPad mini with LTE for $319 and a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 with LTE for $199. The iPad mini is a 1st-generation model with 16GB of storage and the Samsung tablet is a 7 inch model with 16GB of storage.
To bring your own tablet, you’d enter your MAC address at the FreedomPop website and download an app. Any tablet that supports Sprint’s 4G LTE network should work.
