The Asus Transformer Book Flip is a laptop which you can use as a tablet by flipping the touchscreen display 360 degrees until it’s back to back with the keyboard. Asus introduced models with 13 and 15 inch displays in June, and now you can buy an Asus Transformer Book Flip TP300LA with a 13.3 inch display.
It’s available from the Microsoft Store for $799.
The convertible notebook features a 1920 x 1080 pixel display, an Intel Core i5-4210U Haswell processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 500GB hard drive.
It measures 0.9 inches thick, weighs 3.7 pounds, and should get up to 7 hours of battery life from a 50Whr battery. The computer runs Windows 8.1 64-bit software and has a touchscreen display that supports 10-finger multi-touch input.
The system features Intel HD 4400 graphics, WiFi, Bluetooth, 2 USB 3.0 ports, 1 USB 2.0 port, HDMI and an SD card reader.
The Asus product page for the Transformer Book Flip TP300LA suggests we could see other models with Core i3 ore Core i7 processors, lower-resolution displays, larger hard drives, or faster solid state drives.
Asus is also expected to offer models with larger 15.6 inch display, NVIDIA graphics, and an optional disc drive. But those versions aren’t yet available in the United States.
Microsoft and all that entails; intrusive, autocratic, inflexible, restrictive practices, sucking personal information, constant updates to stop malware until the software becomes a walked prison for your machine and still those updates; wanted or unwanted and delivered when ms wants to not when you want it done. I’m looking for a chromebook .
