Asus unveiled several new tablets at Computex this week… and three models are already up for pre-order with estimated ship dates starting June 22nd.

You can now order the new Asus MeMO Pad 7, MeMO Pad, or Transformer Pad TF103 tablets for $149, $199, and $299, respectively.

Asus MeMO Pad 7 (ME176)

This 7 inch tablet has an Intel Atom Bay Trail Z3745 quad-core processor, a 1280 x 800 pixel IPS display, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage.

It comes in black, white, red, blue, and yellow, measures 0.38 inches thick, and weighs 10.4 ounces.

While the MeMO Pad 7 ME176 is an entry-level tablet, it’s not bad for an entry-level device with features including 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, Miracast wireless display support, GPS, stereo speakers, a microSD card reader, and up to 9 hours of battery life from the 15Whr battery.

The tablet has a 5MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing camera and runs Android 4.4 KitKat with the Asus ZenUI user interface.

Asus MeMO Pad 8 (ME181)

While this model has a larger display than the 7 inch tablet, almost all of the other specs are the same except this tablet measures 0.3 inches thick, weighs 0.7 pounds, and has a 15.2 Whr battery for up to 9 hours of run time.

Color options are also a bit different. The 8 inch tablet comes in black, white, gold, or purple.

Like the 7 inch model, the MeMO Pad 8 ME181 has 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, an Intel Atom Z3745 CPU, and Android 4.4 software.

Asus Transformer Pad (TF103)

Up until now Asus has sold its Transformer Pads as standalone tablets that could work with an optional keyboard dock if you bought one separately. But it looks like the Asus Transformer Pad TF103 will come bundled with a QWERTY keyboard.

That means you can use this tablet as a notebook without spending any money on a separate keyboard (although folks who don’t want a keyboard can probably save some money by purchasing a different device).

Asus takes a similar approach with its Transformer Book line of Windows tablet/notebook 2-in-1 systems, but the Android 4.4-powered Transformer Pad T103 is a bit cheaper than those Windows devices.

Like the new 7 and 8 inch tablets from Asus, the Transformer Pad T103 has an Intel Atom Z3745 Bay Trail processor, a 1280 x 800 pixel IPS display, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage.

It also features a microSDXC card slot, stereo speakers, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, Miracast support, GPS, a headset jack, and a micro USB cable. The tablet has a 2MP rear camera and 0.3MP front-facing camera and features a 19Whr battery for up to 9.5 hours of run time.

There’s a full-sized USB 2.0 port in the keyboard dock.

The Transformer Pad TF103 tablet measures 0.4 inches thick and weighs 1.2 pounds. Add the keyboard dock and you’ve got a notebook that measures 0.78 inches thick and weighs 2.4 pounds.

  1. After KitKat I am not sure anyone should buy Android with the SD card snafu

  2. Can you install windows 8.1 pro on them? i mean the specs seems fine, unless they have a bios lock or something(have no idea)

  3. The ASUS TF701T is 300$ on Amazon, might not have a keyboard but at least has decent specs not like this 200$ worth TF103. The other 2 are disappointing also ,they go from quad A7 to ” incompatibility Inside” ,thinner bezels but they pretty much keep the prices flat over last year, despite the BOM dropping nicely since. They need to drop prices by 30%.

    1. $149 is a very fair price for that 7″ tablet considering its specs. Intel processors should work with nearly all Android apps today.

      1. The TF103 also includes the Keyboard dock in its price, so it’s a good deal too… You’d normally have to pay about another $90 for a keyboard dock to get it separately… and it replaces the aging TF100 anyway…

While, for something with better specs, wait for the TF303 that’s also due out…
