As expected, Asus is adding an 11.6 inch 2-in-1 tablet to its Transformer Book family. The Asus Transformer Book T200TA is on display at Computex in Taiwan this week, and it’s an 11.6 inch tablet which becomes a notebook when you attach a keyboard dock.
The new model is a lot like the 10 inch Asus Transformer Book T100 I reviewed late last year… it’s just a little bigger.
The tablet features an Intel Atom Z3775 quad-core Bay Trail processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB to 64GB of built-in storage, and a microSD card slot.
It has a 1366 x 768 pixel display, micro HDMI and micro USB ports, a headset jack, and a 5MP camera. The system features a 38Whr battery.
The keyboard section doesn’t have its own battery, but it does provide full-sized USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports and an Ethernet jack. Some models will also have a 500GB hard drive in the keyboard dock.
Prices are expected to start at around 399 Euros when the system launches in Europe.

What glass is on the screen? Will the T200 be tougher than the t100? I heard that the T100’s sreen can be easily cracked.
This looks like the perfect device for my sister to take to college, a couple questions:
1. Any idea on US release date or price?
2. Will it come bundled with Office 2013 as the T100 does
no idea about the us release, but i wont come bundled with office 2013, some shops do offer a year free of office 365 on the pre-order though
Well I am enjoying my dell venue 11 pro. My asus t100 cracked badly with just one drop so I am wary of this. Gorilla glass 2 or 3 on it? Plastic or aluminum?
So do you think they stuck a lead eight underneath the keyboard? Or is it one of the 2-in-1s that tend to tip over?
The tablet section doesn’t have its own battery, but it does…
A little mistake, I assume you were talking about the keyboard section!
Whoops! A tablet without a battery wouldn’t be much use… unless it was a stone tablet, I suppose. Or a pill…
