Dell is refreshing its line of Android tablets. The new Dell Venue 7 and Venue 8 have Intel chips, just like their predecessors. But gone are the Intel Atom Z25xx Clover Trail+ chips. The new models have Intel Atom “Merrifield” processors for better performance and longer battery life.

The new tablets also have faster WiFi and the 8 inch model now has a full HD display.

  1. The venue 8 3840 has issues with the browsers, chrome and Firefox its annoying. You can’t browse with either one, they crash or freeze and the keyboard does not open.I sent back the first one and got my new one with the same issues.Buy a different tablet until they work out these bugs and they are huge bugs.

  2. the charging dock is actually wireless charging. Any further info on that? Qi, AWS, or what standard?

  3. They reduced the RAM from 2GB to 1GB. Hopefully it’s at least DDR3 instead of DDR2 like last time. But nice to see fhd at a reasonable price.
