In the market for a contract-free Motorola smartphone? For the next two days Motorola is selling unlocked Moto X phones with 32GB of storage for $100 off. Or you can score an even better deal on a 16GB model from eBay.

Looking for a contract-free Verizon phone? The Moto G for Verizon Pre-paid is just $50 at Best Buy.

Sure, these phones were all released in 2013, but they’re still pretty great phones… especially at these prices.

  1. Yes, the Moto G is a great deal, but be aware that it is not possible at this point to unlock the bootloader or root the Verizon model. If you absolutely must have root access go for the Boost version or the GSM version

  2. The problem with the Moto G on Verizon is the slow 3G network as compared to GSM carriers. No 4G on the Moto G.

  3. Hi Brad,

You might want to add the word “off” to the $100 Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 deal. I jumped because I thought it was $100 for a Galaxy Note 10.1 (crazy deal), but it was in fact for $100 “off” one of the Samsung tablets….very different. Thanks for posting the deals.
