Samsung has a habit of flooding the market with phones and tablets in every imaginable screen size… and for the company’s next trick, it may have a 13.3 inch model up its sleeve.
GSM Arena obtained documents suggesting there are at least three unannounced new tablets on the way. Two are the 8.4 inch and 10.5 inch tablets with AMOLED displays we’ve been hearing about.
The third is a 13.3 inch tablet with a high-resolution 13.3 inch screen.
The tablet is expected to features a 2560 x 1600 pixel display with 227 pixels per inch. It’s code-named “Warhol,” and will come in at least two models:
- Samsung SM-T910 WiFi-only tablet
- Samsung SM-T911 3G tablet
According to GSM Arena, the tablet will run Android 4.4 KitKat with the same custom user interface and software as Samsung’s other recent tablets.
Based on the model numbers, it seems likely be a Samsung “Galaxy Tab” model, which means that it probably won’t support digital pen input… that’s a feature that’s associated with the company’s “Galaxy Note” series tablets.
There’s no word on the price or release date for the new 13.3 inch tablet yet.
