Have a smartphone that’s always running out of juice? You could carry around a spare battery (if your phone can use one), or an external battery pack. Or you could carry a second phone… the Micromax X352 is a small phone with basic functions and a big, 3000mAh battery.
Not only does that provide long battery life for this $36 phone, but you can use the X352 to recharge your phone, tablet, or other device.
The only catch is that the Micromax X352 is currently only available in India.
The GSM phone has pretty basic specs including a 2.8 inch, 329 x 249 pixel display, a 0.3MP rear camera, dual SIM support, Bluetooth, and a few games and other apps. This is a feature phone, not a smartphone.
But while you might be lucky to get a few hours of talk time on your smartphone, the Micromax X352 offers up to 11 hours of talk time and 700 hours of standby time.
But it’s the “reverse charging” feature that makes this phone unusual. You can basically treat it like an external power bank that you can use to charge any device that draws power over USB, including smartphones and tablets. That could make this little guy an interesting companion for a tablet, or a useful little second phone for folks that need one anyway.
Or you could just buy a USB battery pack… while this $36 phone from Micromax is pretty cheap for a phone + power bank, you can still find plenty of 3000mAh battery packs which sell for even lower prices.

That would be pretty cool. With dual-SIM ports you could just pop in your main SIM so you don’t miss any calls or texts. Or you could just charge your phone and keep the SIM in. However, this is much more creative than an external battery
A feature phone like that might even do well in the states.
