Asus plans to launch a new high-end ultrabook this year, featuring an Intel Haswell processor, NVIDIA graphics, and a 13 inch, 3200 x 1800 pixel display.
It’s called the Asus Zenbook UX303LN, and Ultrabook Review has a first look.
Surprisingly enough, the high-resolution display and discrete graphics aren’t even what makes this device stand out (there are a growing number of laptops with those features). What surprised me most is the fact that the Asus Zenbook UX303LN is expected to ship with 12GB of RAM.
Other features include an Intel Core i7-4501U Haswell CPU, NVIDIA GT 840M graphics, and a 256GB solid state drive. While the laptop packs a lot of power, it weighs just about 3.2 pounds, which is in line with other members of the Asus Zenbook line of thin and light notebooks.
The laptop has 3 USB ports, HDMI, mini DisplayPort, an SD card reader, and a backlit keyboard.
All told, the Zenbook UX303LN looks like a premium notebook… and it’ll likely have a premium price. PC Connection and Antares Pro are showing prices in the $1230 range, although the notebook isn’t in stock yet at either store so those prices may be subject to change.
