Tired of using your Chromecast to watch TV, movies, and cat videos? Now you can watch live sporting events.
MLB.TV has added Chromecast support to its MLB at Bat apps for mobile devices.
That means you can fire up the mobile app on your iOS or Android device to watch live games and hit the cast icon to send video to your TV. The app also supports instant replay, news, stats, and other features.
The service doesn’t come cheap — you’ll need to pony up $25 per month or $130 per year for an MLB.tv Premium subscription. But for cord cutters, that’s probably cheaper than signing up for cable just to access live baseball games.
MLB.TV Premium already works on a range of other devices including Roku, Apple TV, WD TV, TiVo, and Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Amazon Fire TV support is also on the way.
