MediaMonkey is making the leap from Windows to Android.

The desktop version of the media app has earned a following for not only letting you play your audio and video files, but also for providing powerful tools for managing your media library. Now you can use MediaMonkey on Android to not only manage your content, but also to wirelessly sync playlists and media with your Windows PC.

MediaMonkey

It’s been well over a year since the first beta of MediaMonkey for Android hit the streets. With this release, the app graduates from beta status.

MediaMonkey for Android is available as a free download from the Google Play Store, and includes tools play media files, look up song lyrics, edit file properties, and manage your media files.

There’s a home screen widget, support for scrobbling, and more.

Some of the more advanced features require an in-app purchase. While you can synchronize playlists, ratings, lyrics, and other data with the desktop client for free if you use a USB connection, you’ll have to pay for unlimited WiFi sync.

There’s also a UPnP/DLNA add-on available as an in-app purchase, an advanced media add-on, or you can just spring for MediaMonkey Pro which includes all the special features.

MediaMonkey Pro is available from the Play Store for $3.59.
