BlackBerry’s newest smartphone is now available for pre-order… but it’s exclusively available in Indonesia. In fact, there are two versions up for order, the BlackBerry Z3 and a limited BlackBerry Z3 Jakarta Edition (which is pretty much the same phone, but with the name “Jakarta” on the back).
As promised, the BlackBerry Z3 is available for under $200, which makes it the cheapest unlocked phone designed to run BlackBerry 10 software.
The BlackBerry Z3 features a 5 inch, 960 x 540 pixel display, a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, and 8GB of storage. It has a 5MP rear camera, a 1MP front-facing camera, a 2500mAh battery, and microSD card slot.
The phone supports WiFi, Bluetooth, and HSPA networks, FM radio, A-GPS, and runs BlackBerry OS 10.2.1.
It’s available for pre-order for about $190, and the phone is expected to be available starting may 13th.

From some sellers the pre-order price is actually a promotional $142 from what I have heard, a whole different story price point wise.
Good. I hope Blackberry can get back on track, and out of its nosedive.
Frankly, if a device with similar specs and price was offered on a prepaid carrier like Virgin or Boost Mobile in the US, I’d be interested (as long as I could sideload Android apps).
