Samsung appears to be preparing multiple wearable fitness trackers. The company unveiled the Samsung Gear Fit recently, but SamMobile has obtained documents showing a second activity tracker called the Samsung S Band.

The Gear Fit is a sort of bracelet or watch that monitors your activity, displays your progress on an AMOLED display, and shares your information with a mobile app on your phone. But the S Band appears to be a simpler device without a display.

According to SamMobile, the S Band will pair with the Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone and share your data with the new Samsung S Health app.

Like other fitness trackers, the S Band will be able to monitor your steps taken and distance traveled during the day. It can also estimate how many calories you’ve burned based on the duration and intensity of your activity. Wear it at night and it can also monitor your sleep habits to help evaluate your sleep quality.

The device can also vibrate or flash an LED light to let you know if the Bluetooth connection with your phone is lost… or to let you know if you receive a call or message on your phone.

While there’s a watchband that lets you wear the S Band around your wrist, Samsung will also offer a clip accessory for folks that want to attach the activity tracker to a belt, shirt, or pocket.
