Chinese device maker Ramos is adding a few new 10 inch tablets to its lineup. The Ramos i10 Pro is designed to dual boot Windows 8.1 and Google Android 4.2 Jelly Bean software (even if Microsoft and Google disapprove), while the Ramos i10 Note is a Windows tablet with support for pen input.

Both will launch initially in China, but if they’re anything like other Ramos tablets it probably won’t be long before you can order one overseas from AliExpress or other reseller sites.

Ramos i10 pro

The Ramos i10 Pro features an Intel Atom Z3740D Bay Trail processor, a 1920 x 1080 pixel display, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. It’ll be bundled with a 3G card in China, and it’s expected to sell for less than $450 when it goes on sale March 25th.

The Ramos i10 Note has the same processor, memory and storage, but it only runs Windows 8.1 software and features a lower-resolution 1280 x 800 pixel display. It supports pen input.

Other new models include the Ramos i10s which is basically an Android-only version of the i10 Pro with 16GB of storage, and the Ramos i8 Pro 8 inch Windows tablet we heard about in February.

  1. 32GB eMMC seems insufficient. I’ll wait for Broadwell Y-series to get both lightweight, fanless and large SSD drive. Of course, you’ll have to pay more in 2015 (or late 2014).

  2. If the pen is wacom and not that synaptics crap like dell used then I think I have found my new tablet…

    1. I checked with a US source carrying the new Ramos tablets called iProTablet and they confirmed that the Ramos i10 Note features wacom

    2. hoping what that deleted comment said was true that it is a wacom I am holding off on my Surface Pro purchase i know the processor is a bit less but the note is half the weight and probably has better battery life to boot.

  3. So how are they getting android to run on a z3740 processor? I have not been find that anyone had it working very good yet

    1. Running on the Z3740D isn’t the problem, Bay Trail supports Android… it’s setting it up to run both Windows and Android in at least a dual boot configuration… Especially, if you’ve got a device that only has 32bit UEFI instead of the 64bit version… booting 3rd party options is basically a lot easier with the 64bit UEFI…

  4. I wish you could get one that dual-booted Android and Windows,
and had pen input, at least on the Windows side.

If not, then I’d just get the Windows version, then add see if the device will let

    x86 Android be installed.

    1. I learned a few things through iProTablet–one U.S.source to carry the Ramos i10 Pro which they confirmed will be available in early April.

The Ramos March 20 Showcase profiling upcoming products slated for the rest of 2014 and according to a Ramos spokesperson, the Ramos i8 Pro is expected to be available in May/June and the other products showcased, including the Ramos i10 Note and Ramos i10s (Android edition) are expected for a August/September release.

  5. Nice; there is a market for this, regardless of the naysayers. Thanks for this.
