Over the past few months we’ve seen a growing number of audio and video apps add support for Google’s Chromecast media streaming device. Today was a big day for updates, with Vudu, Crackle and Rdio launching new apps that support the $35 TV dongle and PlayOn launching a beta test.

Don’t want to stream video from any of those services? AllCast is an app that lets you stream content directly from your phone… and with today’s update, that app has a few new tricks as well, including support for streaming you personal media from a Dropbox cloud storage account.
