Infosonics offers a line of budget phones under the verykool brand. Now the company’s getting into the low-cost tablet space with the KolorPad T742.

It’s an Android tablet with a dual-core CPU, a low starting price of $149, and support for HSDPA and GSM wireless networks. It might not be the best tablet money can buy, but it’s one of the cheapest 3G capable models available in the United States.

The verykool KolorPad features a 7 inch display, a 1.3 GHz dual-core CPU, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and FM Radio.

There’s a 3MP camera on the back and a 0.3MP front-facing camera, and the tablet has a microSD card slot and a 2500mAh battery. The tablet runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Infosonics says the KolorPad supports SMS messaging and the promotional images show a phone dialer. That suggests that while the company is positioning the KolorPad T742 as a tablet, it also supports phone features.
