Samsung is slapping the “Pro” label on its latest Android tablets… and the company’s got some pro-level pricing to match.

While Android tablet prices have fallen quite a bit in the past few years, Samsung’s least expensive Pro tablet sells for $400… and it’s highest priced comes in at $850.

They’re all due to hit the streets on February 13th in the United States.

Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2

Here’s a quick run-down on the prices:

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 w/16GB for $400
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 w/16GB for $500
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 w/32GB for $650
  • Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 w/32GB for $750
  • Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 w/64GB for $850

While these tablets buck the low-cost trend a bit, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is priced competitively with Apple’s iPad mini and it features some pretty impressive specs including an 8.4 inch, 2560 x 1600 pixel display, 2GB of RAM, 802.11ac WiFi, a microSD card slot, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor.

The 12.2 inch models are available in Note or Tab styles, which basically means that for $650 you get a tablet with a large 2560 x 1600 pixel display and 3GB of RAM. For an extra $100 you get an S Pen pressure-sensitive pen for writing or drawing or for hovering over the screen with certain apps.

  2. A bit pricey but what really kills them is all the Samsung bloatware. Make the bloatware removable (especially on the non-pen version) and drop the price just a bit and you have a killer line of tablets.

    1. Can’t they be disabled like any other unwanted app that can’t be uninstalled?

      1. Even if they can be disabled, they take up a significant amount of storage space.
