The NVIDIA Tegra Note 7 is an Android tablet with a Tegra 4 quad-core processor, a $199 starting price, and an emphasis on graphics and gaming. Now it’s also available with 4G LTE and HSPA+ mobile broadband connectivity.

NVIDIA has announced that Tegra Note 7 LTE will be available for $299 starting in the second quarter of 2014.

NVIDIA Tegra Note

The company doesn’t actually sell the tablets under its own name. But partners including EVGA, Gigabyte, Zotac, and XOLO will be selling Tegra Note 7 LTE tablets in North America, Europe, Asia, and Brazil.

Most of the specs for NVIDIA Tegra Note 7 LTE are the same as those for the WiFi-only model. The difference is the new version has a global cellular chip that supports US and European LTE bands as well as HSPA+ and EDGE.

The tablet has a 7 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel IPS display, an NVIDIA TEGRA 4 ARM Cortex-A15 quad-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a microSD card slot, micro HDMI port, 5MP rear camera and VGA front-facing camera. It also supports a pressure-sensitive stylus.

NVIDIA’s new tablet will ship with Android 4.4.2 KitKat software.

  1. Not the specs I would have expected from Nvidia, I was hoping for way more. I am sticking with my Nexus 7 2013 32GB wifi. Much higher specs for around the same price $250 with 32GB. 1920×1200, 2GB ram, 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro, NFC, BT4, dual camera, 10 finger touch and all the sensors. The Nexus 7 has everything I want with a big except: a Micro SD slot which the Nvidia tablet has. I have been extremely happy with it otherwise, battery life has been awesome and gameplay has been great too. Running the Sinless 4.4.2 rom with the ElementalX 2.6 kernel. This makes the tablet more cutomizable, run even smoother, faster and its has been very very stable.

  2. Give me windows RT on this baby, not some toy operating system! What’s with naming 4.4.2 after a chocolate anyway? What’s next – Android 6.9 Hershey Hiway?

  3. Worth noting that the wifi only model just got android 4.4.2, source is I own one, just got the update today. Not sure how that compares to every other manufacturer for update speed.

  4. not a clue why they didn’t put 2GB of RAM in this. I have to assume they just plain didn’t have space on the board.

    1. but right now they use 2 x 512MB chips, apparently an upgrade would be as simple as switching parts. It does irritate me that they went with 1GB, combine that with an awful lot of RAM in use for the GPU and multitasking becomes a major issue.

      1. these were for all intents and purposes, designed to be reference designs for mainstream Tegra 4 devices, so I have no clue how you have some tablet’s with your last gen chip (tegra 3) with twice the RAM as your current flagship. bizarre.

and the point you bring up is a good one as well, so it isnt a pcb space limitation.

and it isnt a cost limitation, they are only marginally more expensive but the Tegra Notes arent incredibly budget devices, they didn’t need that kind of aggressive production cost-cutting.
