The Asus VivoTab Note 8 is a Windows tablet with an Intel Atom Bay Trail processor, 2GB of RAM, an 8 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display, and support for digital pen input.

That means you can use a special stylus to write or draw on the screen or hover over the tablet to move a cursor around, making it easier to use classic Windows desktop apps on a handheld device.

  1. Does anyone know if I can run Windows XP Tablet Edition on this thing. I want to recommend deploying them in my organization, but we run a proprietary medical form software that only runs properly on Windows XP or Windows XP Tablet Edition.

  2. Looks like I’ll be getting the ASUS Vivotab Note 8 when it shows up on Amazon.
