Samsung is expected to unveil next-gen smartphones, smartwatches, and maybe even tablets at an event on February 24th. But @evleaks didn’t want to wait until then to share a leaked photo of Samsung’s next two smartwatches.

Yes, watches. Plural.

Update: It’s official. Samsung’s launching two new Tizen-powered smartwatches in April.

Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 Neo

The photos show two watches, allegedly called the Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 and the Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 Neo. Both models look a lot like Samsung’s original Galaxy Gear smartwatch, but each of the new models seems to have a button below the screen, and Samsung seems to have moved the wristband cameras a bit closer to the actual watch face.

There have also been reports that the next-gen smartwatches will run software based on Tizen rather than Android.

It’s likely that the Galaxy Gear 2 Neo will be the cheaper of the two. Samsung recently launched a Galaxy Note 3 Neo which is a moderately less expensive version of its big-screen phone.

Other details will likely be revealed on Monday. It’s also possible we could see the introduction of a Galaxy Gear Fit wearable fitness device.

  1. 10 years from now, while scrolling on our 3.5″ screen ‘wristwatches’ we shall all comment on how inferior the small screen devices of 2014 were.

    1. I feel as though there might be a market for that even now… People have been wanting larger and larger screen sizes on cellphones after all, and a “watch” could potentially cover our entire forearm with the advent of flexible screens
