A little over a year ago, I paid $800 to pick up an ultrabook that weighed less than 3 pounds, had a 1600 x 900 pixel display, and an Intel Sandy Bridge processor. That was a pretty good deal at the time.
Now you can get a 13 inch ultrabook with a 1920 x 1080 pixel touchscreen display, an Intel Haswell processor, 802.11ac WiFi, and other premium features for just $700 (if you don’t mind buying refurbished products).
Technology marches on… and prices fall.

That Miix 2 supposedly sells ‘somewhere’ with SIM slot but def not in the US; and I coulda swore the Thinkpad8 as supposed to come with a SIM slot as well, and no SIM there either. I wonder how long it takes before someone brings that to market….
