BlackBerry is getting ready to launch its first phone developed in partnership with Foxconn. The BlackBerry Z3 will launch exclusively in Indonesia in April, 2014.

BlackBerry Z3

The phone features a 5 inch touchscreen display and runs BlackBerry OS 10.2.1 software. It’s designed as a budget device, and expected to sell for around $200 or less.

At launch the phone will be a 3G-only device, but if and when the phone goes on sale in other countries BlackBerry could add 4G LTE support.

The company isn’t sharing details for the rest of the phone’s specs, but at least there are pictures of the BlackBerry Z3 — which is more than we can say for the recently announced BlackBerry Q10 QWERTY phone.

BlackBerry and Foxconn announced a strategic partnership in December, and with the Z3 phone set to launch in April it looks like the companies haven’t wasted time getting to work.

  1. If you have to go that far then maybe it’s time to…you know.
