Chinese device maker ZTE plans to show off new phones at CES next week. But the company is also expanding beyond phones with the launch of its first smartwatch as well as other accessories including a mobile hotspot that has a built-in projector.
New phones include the Nubia 5S with a 5 inch full HD display, a 13MP camera, and the ability to record 4K ultra HD video. The Nubia 5S mini barely lives up to its name with a 4.7 inch display. The ZTE Sonata 4G, meanwhile, is a new phone for AT&T’s budget MVNO, Aio wireless. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and a 4 inch display.
ZTE’s new flagship phone is the Grand S II, with support for voice controls and a triple-microphone noise reduction system.
The company is also launching what it’s calling its “first Iconic Phablet,” with a 5.7 inch HD display, wireless charging, and Dolby Digital audio.
ZTE’s first smartwatch will be called the BlueWatch, and it’s designed to bridge the gap between smartwatches and activity trackers. Not only will you be able to view notifications and control apps on your phone from your wrist, the BlueWatch also has a built-in pedometer to track your activity and send the data to your phone.
The ZTE Projector Hotspot is a mobile hotspot that lets up to 8 different devices share a 4G internet connection. It also has a projector built in, letting you shine presentations, videos, or other content onto a screen or wall.
“…a mobile hotspot with built in projector…” Wow
