Like Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition tablet, but don’t have any need for an S Pen? No problem. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is virtually the same device, but without the digital pen.

Samsung’s new 10 inch tablet features a 2560 x 1600 pixel display, an Exynos 5 octa-core processor (or a Snapdragon 800 chip on select models), and runs Android 4.4 KitKat software.

The only major things setting it apart from the Galaxy Note are that this model has 2GB of RAM instead of 3GB and it doesn’t have a pen.

The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.2 has an 8220mAh battery, an 8MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera, 802.11ac WiFI, Bluetooth 4.0, up to 32GB of built-in storage, and a microSD card slot.

It will be available in WiFi-only or 4G LTE varieties, with both models weighing just about a pound.

  1. About. Time. I feel that the specs on the Tab 3 models were too low for what they asked. The Tab 3 10.1 should be replaced by this. Hopefully it is within the $399 to $499 price range.

  2. Sounds like a beast! Almost afraid to ask how much this will cost. One thing that could make it even better would be to offer a Google Play edition. All the power with none of the bloat!
