Lenovo’s Miix 2 line of Windows tablets feature Intel processors and 8 to 11 inch displays. The 8 inch model launched in late 2013 and new 10 and 11 inch models were unveiled at CES in early January.

Now the Miix 2 10 is available for purchase in the US and Europe. Chippy from UMPC Portal found a relatively inexpensive model with 64GB of storage, a full HD display, and an Intel Atom Z3740 processor in Germany. Meanwhile, folks in the US can order the Miix 2 10 for $499 and up.

Lenovo Miix 2 10

The Miix 2 10 has a 1920 x 1080 pixel display, 2GB of RAM, front and rear camera,s a microSD card slot and micro USB port, and the tablet measures 0.36 inches thick and weighs 1.3 pounds.

It comes with Microsoft Office Home & Student and you can use it as a tablet… or as a laptop. It comes with a detachable keyboard that holds the tablet in place with magnets. When used with the keyboard, the Miix 2 10 is basically a 2.3 pound portable touchscreen notebook that should get hours of battery life.

Lenovo also plans to launch the Miix 2 11 soon. That models features a larger 11.6 inch full HD display and a more powerful processor — it supports up to an Intel Core i5 chip. It’s also a bit bulkier, measuring 0.43 inches thick and weighing 1.76 pounds (or about 3 pounds when used with the keyboard).

  1. The 64GB and 128GB are $499 and $599 respectively as of today if you buy them online:

I’ve seen Chippy’s early hands-on and got quite disappointed. The whole magnetic docking system is a let down since it’s not nearly as sturdy as a conventional setup. Maybe my expectations were too high from seeing those Microsoft Surface Touch Cover demos, the ones where the tablets get hurled around with the magnetic cover on.

  2. I’m just not convinced with the keyboard. Yoga 10″ while keeping the high res would be nice. Don’t get why they dropped the resolution low on the 11″ yoga x86 tablets.

  3. In Germany you can order the version with 64gb for €499. As this is the recommended price from Lenovo I guess it will drop in price soon. 3g or version with more ssd space will hopefully follow soon. I hope to see a model with changeable battery soon as Dell is already offering.
