There are a lot of thin and light notebooks on the market these days, but the LG Ultra PC might just be one of the thinnest and lightest.
It measures 0.54 inches thick and weighs 2.2 pounds. And while the LG Ultra PC has a 13.3 inch full HD display, it’s closer to the size of a 12 inch laptop thanks to a super-thin screen bezel that’s just 4.4mm (0.17inches) on the left and right sides.
The 1920 x 1080 pixel display is also an IPS display which looks great from just about any angle.
LG will offer models with up to 256GB of solid state storage and with Intel Core i5 Haswell processors. It’ll come in pink, light blue, white, and metallic silver/gray colors options, and the laptop has two full-sized USB ports, a micro USB port, a full-sized HDMI jack, and a headset jack.
Unlike most ultrabooks launched these days, this model does not have a touchscreen display — and for that reason I don’t think LG is actually calling it an ultrabook. Intel insists that new models need to have touch panels. But in pretty much every other way, it out ultras the ultrabooks.
Unfortunately LG has yet to announce a price or release date for the notebook.
