The ZenFone 4, ZenFone 5, and ZenFone 6 feature 4 to 6 inch displays, low-power Intel chips, colorful designs, and solidly mid-range specs.

Asus Zenfone 4

ZenFone 4

The entry-level ZenFone 4 is described as a “value” device with a 4 inch, 800 x 480 pixel display, a 1.2 GHz Intel Atom Z2520 processor, and Android 4.3 software.

It has 1GB of RAM, a 5MP rear camera, 0.3MP front-facing camera, a microSD card slot (but Asus hasn’t mentioned how much built-in storage it has), and an 1170mAH battery.

This is a GSM phone which supports HSPA+ wireless networks.

Possibly the most attractive thing about this phone is the design — it’s available in a range of colors including black, white, red, blue, and yellow.

ZenFone 5

Step up to the company’s 5 inch phone and you get a 1280 x 720 pixel display, a faster 2 GHz Intel Atom Z2580 processor, an 8MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera, and a bigger 2050mAh battery.

This model also has a better camera with image stablization and an f/2.0 lens.

The ZenFone 5 will be available in black, white, red, and gold.

ZenFone 6

The biggest model of the ZenFone family features “GloveTouch” and “PenTouch” technology so that you can use it with a stylus or while wearing gloves.

Most of the specs for this phone are similar to those for the 5 inch model, but Asus includes a higher-resolution 13Mp rear camer and a bigger 3230mAh battery.

Like the other models, this is an HSPA+ phone with 802.11n WiFi and Android 4.3 software. Asus plans to update all phones to Android 4.4 KitKat in the future.

  1. I would be happy with HSPA+ in the US if they made one model that worked for all carriers. . .

    1. No 1700mhz frequency band on this so have fun with edge speeds on tmobile which is probably what the target user of this phone would be using seeing as ATT is like $30 for a measley 500mb of data.
