NVIDIA may be partnering with companies like EVGA, Gigabyte, and Zotac to distribute and sell Tegra Note 7 tablets. But software updates come straight from NVIDIA — and now the company is rolling out one of the first major updates.
The over-the-air update brings new camera and stylus features, and updates the software from Android 4.2 to Android 4.3.
The move to Android 4.3 brings support for OpenGL ES 3.0 graphics, Bluetooth Low Energy, and a number of other changes. NVIDIA is also adding a new help option to its DirectStylus software to help users understand how to use the pen for writing, drawing, and other tasks. When you remove or insert the stylus, a notification will now pop up. And there’s stylus support for left-handed users.
NVIDIA has also added always-on high dynamic range capability to the camera, letting you take HDR photos in a variety of lighting conditions.
Users can also now store apps and app data to a microSD card.
