  1. I have a question about STYLUS. Would digitizer stylus work on any of those WIN 8 tablets? They don t come with the stylus so I wonder, i din t find any good reviews on that.

    1. Capacitive screens have rather low resolution so only a “fat” capacitive stylus is much good. Most tablets worth writing or drawing on use a second digitizer of some sort. The old resistive stylus screens were superior in many ways to the capacitive iFad.

      1. Asus Transformer Book T300 has 1920×1080 pixels, so I think its a good screen. I was just wondering if I could use Surface Pro stylus to work on T300 or any Wacom activ stylus?

  2. Fool me twice, shame on me. I have such a device from a couple of years back. Yes, the new ones are lighter and almost more practical but fast churn means the value disappears in 6 months (can’t even give these away) so no upgrades for me!
Went to Android tablets instead. Win7 tablet is barely ever turned on except to install the mountain of pushed WinUpdate patches so it doesn’t lag too far behind in case I ever need it for something. Laptops still work better as laptops, else go get an Android tablet if you want a tablet.

    1. Well, good luck running productivity apps on your Android tablet.
It seems that you made the “right” choice. /sarcasm

      1. tablets arent productivity devices. have you been drinking the windows 8 koolaid again?

        1. Excuse me, where in my previous comment did I say Windows 8?
I know that tablets are no productivity devices – they’re more of a media consumption and entertainment devices.

The problem with some people nowadays is that they always think that their tablets will suffice as a replacement for the always productive PCs which is definitely wrong!

If there’s someone who’s “drinking the koolaid” here, it’s you @brian.

  3. “Why not pick up a laptop that you can connect to a keyboard base and use as a notebook?”
    Should be tablet not laptop.

  4. Dell xps 12 available for $799 ($999 regularly) Microsoft store. This is latest model with haswell.
