Google started rolling out over-the-air software updates bringing Android 4.4 KitKat to its latest tablets this week. Now the company has also posted factory images online, which means it’s relatively safe to start building or installing custom ROMs and mucking about in other ways — since there’s now a way to grab the stock images straight from Google.

  1. Is it just me or is Android 4.4 KitKat not making that much of a big noise in the tech world unlike with the iOS 7, considering that 81% of the smartphones in the world are running on Android?

  2. Now they all have a store, with Googles being in the middle of San Francisco bay on a custom built barge.

  3. “Flash the software onto your advice” My advice? Flash it onto your device instead.

  4. Is there Android 4.4 for 64 bit processors yet? Or should we be expecting that in a few days?
