Lilbits (11-08-2013): Windows Phone gets big(ger) with the Lumia 1520

11/08/2013 at 4:51 PM by Brad Linder 1 Comment

Nokia’s biggest Windows Phone device to date is set to hit the streets this month. AT&T is taking pre-orders for the Nokia Lumia 1520, which costs $200 when you sign up for a 2-year contract, or $585 when you do not.

The phone sports a 6 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel display, making it the biggest device yet to run Microsoft’s Windows Phone operating system. Other highlights include a 20MP Nokia PureView camera, 2X lossless zoom, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a microSD card slot, a 3400mAh battery and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor.

No HDMI port, can’t use this as a desktop replacement. Snapdragon 800 should be fast enough to run a 1920 x 1200 external monitor keyboard and mouse. Office 2013 RT works well (just need a fast SOC).
