The Lenovo IdeaPag Yoga 2 Pro is an ultrabook that converts into a tablet. Lenovo’s been putting those out for about a year now — but the new model has an Intel Haswell processor, long battery life, and a high-resolution 13.3 inch, 3200 x 1800 pixel display.
All models have the same basic convertible tablet design. Open the lid, set it on a table and start typing and you’ve got a laptop. Push the lid back 360 degrees so that it’s hanging out behind the keyboard, and you can use the Yoga 2 Pro as a touchscreen tablet.
The base models feature 4GB of RAM and Intel Core i3 or Core i5 Haswell chips and 128GB of solid state storage.
lenovoalso offer models with Core i7 processors, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage. Each model features 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and Windows 8.1 64-bit software. They have 1 USB 3.0 port, 1 USB 2.0 port, and HDMI output.
The laptops measure about 0.6 inches thick and weigh 3.5 pounds, making them slimmer and lighter than last year’s Yoga convertibles. But the new models also get longer battery life. Lenovo says you should be able to get up to 9 hours of use on a charge.
