Fujitsu plans to launch a business-friendly 12.5 inch tablet later this year. It’s called the Stylistic Q704, and the tablet features a 12.5 inch, full HD display, an Intel Haswell processor and a semi-rugged, waterproof case.

While 12.5 inches might seem a bit large for a tablet, you can also choose from two different dockable keyboards to effectively transform the tablet into a notebook.

Fujitsu Stylistic Q704

Fujitsu designed the Stylistic Q704 for enterprise applications. It’s dustproof and designed to withstand rain or humidity, which means it can be used outdoors, in restaurants, or other commercial settings.

The tablet has a capacitive touchscreen, but you can also use a digital pen. That means you can choose between a physical keyboard, virtual keyboard, or handwriting recognition for input.

The Fujitsu Stylistic Q704 will be available with Core i5 or Core i7 processor options, 64GB to 256GB Of storage, 4GB to 8GB of RAM, and Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 software. It features WiFi, Bluetooth, and optional 4G, 4G, and GPS modules and ships standard with a 1920 x 1080 pixel display.

Enterprise features include a fingerprint sensor, embedded TPM module, and optional SmartCard support.

Fujitsu’s tablet has a microSd card slot, 1 USB 3.0 ports, 1 microUSB port, and a headset jack. The tablet has a 46Whr battery and should run for up to 10 hours on a charge.

The Q704 measures 12.2″ x 7.8″ x 0.47″ and weighs less than 2.2 pounds.

In addition to offering two different optional keyboards, Fujitsu offers an optional docking cradle which adds extra ports including HDMI, VGA, and additional USB ports.

  1. One serious problem: Is there NO video out (no micro-hdmi or anything) unless you attach it to a port replicator? All the specs appear to indicate that the Q704 can only output video via one of the port replicators. Is that correct?

  2. One serious problem: Is there NO video out (no micro-hdmi or anything) unless you attach it to a port replicator? All the specs appear to indicate that the Q704 can only output video via one of the port replicators. Is that correct? I mean, even my cell phone has hdmi out.

  3. Excellent product. Too I won’t be able to justify the likely high price to myself. I doubt my company will offer it either.

  4. Allow the base to add on an extra battery and maybe host a real video card from the base and you can have all my monies.

  5. Fujitsu makes some awesome hardware. Unfortunately they also come with awesomely high prices. Maybe some day if I become rich…
