Dell is updating its XPS 13 ultrabook with new Intel Haswell processor options, and touchscreen options. But the new Dell XPS 13 is just as thin and light as its predecessors, weighing about 3 pounds and measuring about 0.7 inches thick.

The new Dell XPS 13 is scheduled to hit the streets in November for $1000 and up.

Dell XPS 13

Dell’s new XPS 13 ships standard with a 13.3 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel display. Dell is doing away with the 1366 x 768 pixel option. The display is a 350-nit screen with 178 degree viewing angles.

The Dell XPS 13 will be available with 4GB to 8GB of RAM, Intel Core i3, Core i5, or Core i7 Haswell processor options, Intel HD 4400 or HD 5000 graphics (depending on the CPU choice), and a 55 Whr battery which is not user replaceable.

If you want to connect to a network via Ethernet, you’ll need an RJ45 adapter.

Dell will offer 128GB and 256GB solid state storage optionss, and the notebook will support WiFi, Bluetooth, and Intel’s WiDi wireless display technology. There are 2 USB 3.0 ports, a mini DisplayPort and a headset jack, and stereo speakers, and an HD webcam with a dual-array digital microphone setup.
