The Dell XPS 11 is a convertible tablet-style ultrabook that takes its design cues from Lenovo’s Yoga series. In order to transform the Dell XPS 11 from notebook to tablet modes, just push the screen back 360 degrees until back to back with the keyboard.

Dell introduced the XPS 11 this summer, and now the company says it’ll be available in November for $1000 and up.

Dell XPS 11

The Dell XPS 11 is about 0.6 inches thick and weighs about 2.5 pounds. While that makes it a little heavy for a tablet, it’s one of the thinnest and lightest ultrabooks around.

The computer is made of carbon fiber, aluminum and Corning Gorilla Glass, which helps it be both light and sturdy. Other premium features include a backlit keyboard and a high-resolution display.

Dell’s notebook features an 11.6 inch, 2560 x 1440 pixel touchscreen display with 160 degree viewing angles thanks to the oxide TFT display technology. While the viewing angles might not be quite as wide as on some other notebooks and tablets, that’s a lot better than what you’d get with a typical TFT display. Dell says the screen is also bright, offering up to 400 nits.

The Dell XPS 11 will be available with a choice of Intel Core i3 or Core i5 Haswell processors, and feature 4GB of RAM, Intel HD 4200 graphics, 80GB to 256GB of solid state storage, a glass touchpad below the keyboard, WiFi, Bluetooth, Intel WiDi wireless display, and NFC capabilities.

There are 2 USB 3.0 ports, 1 HDMI port, an SD card reader, and headset jack, and the computer has a 40Whr battery which is not user replaceable.
