The Dell Venue 11 Pro looks like a small laptop at first glance — and you can use it as one with the optional keyboard dock. But the guts of this little Windows computer are in the screen, and you can pull the screen away from the keyboard to use the Venue 11 Pro as a tablet.

While that design is hardly unique, the Dell Venue 11 Pro is one of the first notebook/tablet hybrids to be available with a choice of processors ranging from an Intel Atom Bay Trail chip to an Intel Core i5 Haswell processor.

The Dell Venue 11 Pro is scheduled to go on sale in November, and it will sell for $500 and up.

The entry-level model will feature an Intel Atom Z3770 Bay Trail quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage.

But Dell will also offer options including 4GB or 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of solid state storage, and Intel Pentium, Core i3, and Core i5 processors.

All models will sport the same 10.8 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel IPS touchscreen display, stereo speakers, dual microphones, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB 3.0, microSD card slot, micro HDMI port, 8MP rear camera, and 2MP front-facing camera.

Some models will feature a 30Whr battery, while others will have a 37Whr battery — and some configurations will offer a swappable battery, allowing you to extend your run time by replacing the battery when you don’t have an opportunity to recharge it.

Other options include HSPA+ or 4G LTE mobile broadband, 802.11AC and NFC. Dell will also offer an optional desktop dock and active stylus.

Size and weight will vary depending on the configuration, but the thinnest and lightest versions of the Dell Venue 11 Pro will measure 11.7″ x 7″ x 0.4″ and weigh less than 1.6 pounds.

One reply on “Dell Venue 11 Pro Windows tablet coming in November for $500”

  1. Wow so many choices coming out now, just ordered Samsung Note 8.0 mainly for its Spen so I am having a buyer remorse. However the basic model start at $500 can not touch Asus T100 though. I need something similar Spen features but run on Windows. Guess I’ll have to wait and see….
