In the market for a good phone and a cheap tablet? You’re in luck. AT&T is giving away free 7 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 tablets to customers who buy some new Samsung smartphones and sign up for 2-year contracts.

To get the free tablet, you’ll need to buy a new Samsung Galaxy S4, Galaxy S 4 Active, Galaxy Note II or Galaxy Note 3 and sign up for a service plan.

The Galaxy Tab 3 isn’t exactly a top tier tablet. It’s an Android tablet that features a 7 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, front and rear cameras, a microSD card slot, and a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. It normally sells for $180 and up.

AT&T is offering a model with support for cellular data, which drives up its value a bit — but you’ll need to add the tablet to an AT&T Mobile Share plan. That adds $10 per month to the cost of a smartphone-only plan.

But like I said, if you were planning to buy a new phone and a new tablet anyway, the promotion might save you a few dollars.

Samsung’s deal runs from October 30th, 2013 through January 9th, 2014.

  1. Andrew Wyatt is gay. Dude like any other carrier is better. I’ll tell you one thing, with the exception of Sprint and T-Mobile, they are basically the same and Verizon isn’t any better. what sets AT&T apart from the majority of other carriers is their customer support. I’ve had Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and 360 Wireless just to name a few and their customer support sucks balls. So bottom line it boils down to personal preference but to me AT&T blows ALL other cell phone companies away!!

  2. I don’t think AT&T could con me back over to their service if their new phone came with a free car for life. No thanks!
