Lenovo is introducing a new line of thin and light laptops aimed at business and enterprise customers. The Lenovo ThinkPad X240 features a 12.5 inch display and weighs less than 3 pounds, but it has a rugged, military spec-tested design.
The company is also introducing a new ThinkPad T440 notebook with a 14 inch screen. That model’s a bit heavier, at about 4 pounds.
The laptops will be available this month for $1099 and $899, respectively.
Lenovo will offer models with up to 256GB of solid state storage or up to 1TB of hard drive space.
But one of the most interesting features is the new “Power Bridge” battery system. It lets you swap out batteries without shutting down the laptop, thanks to a two-battery system.
Lenovo says you’ll be able to get up to 17 hours of battery life when using both batteries.
