Amazon’s next-generation Kindle Fire tablets will probably be unveiled soon, but that just means that last year’s models keep getting cheaper and cheaper.

All4Cellular is running a great deal on refurbished Kindle Fire HD tablets, letting you pick one up for less than the price of a model with a non-HD screen. And Best Buy is offering a pretty big discount on brand new 8.9 inch Kindle Fire HD tablets.

  1. What would you recommend for a 7″ tablet for light gaming/reading books/watching movies? Should i go with a Hisense Sero Pro 7 tablet for $129, a refurb’d Kindle Fire HD for $150, or the refurb’d Nexus 7 tablet for $160?

    1. If you only use content from Amazon’s cloud, get the Kindle. If you only use content from the Google cloud, get the Nexus. If you want to use any content courtesy of the SD card, get the HiSense if Walmart still has it. OTOH, the ASUS memo pad hd7 for $20 more is probably your best bet. My wife only uses content from the Apple cloud, so she has an iPad. I only use content from anywhere, so I use a laptop PC.
