Asus is showing off its next-generation Transformer Pad tablet with Google Android 4.2, featuring a speedy quad-core processor, a high-resolution display, and an optional keyboar docking station that lets you use the tablet like a notebook.

As expected, the Asus Transformer Pad TF701T will feature an NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor and a 10.1 inch, 2560 x 1600 pixel display.

Like other members of the Transformer Pad family, the new TF701T gets its name from the optional keyboard dock which includes a QWERTY keyboard and a second battery, which allows you to get up to 17 hours of battery life when using the keyboard and tablet together. The keyboard dock also has a USB 3.0 port.

The tablet measures 0.35 inches thick and weighs 1.3 pounds, and features an IPS display with wide viewing angles.

It has a 1.2MP front-facing camera and a 5MP rear camera with zero-shutter lag and support for HDR photos. The tablet also supports Miracast wireless display technology.

The Asus Transformer Pad TF701T features 2GB of RAM, 32GB to 64GB of storage, a microSD card slot, micro HDMI port, and headset jack. The tablet has a 31Whr battery for up to 13 hours of run time without the keyboard dock, while the dock has a 16Whr battery for up to 4 hours of additional battery life.

North American pricing and release information hasn’t yet been announced.
