One of these days Apple will probably get around to introducing an iPad mini with a Retina display. But it looks like Apple may have competition in the 8 inch, high-resolution tablet space.

HP appears to be working on a tablet called the HP Slate 8 Pro, and if leaked benchmark results are anything to go by, it has a high-resolution 4:3 aspect ratio display and a speedy processor.

The EPICT EPP-100 has the specs of a cheap Android tablet or TV stick. But it’s also got something most of those devices lack: a built-in projector that you can use you shine videos, presentations, games, or just about anything else on a screen or wall. It sells for about $221.
