Lenovo is now taking orders for the Miix 10 tablet. It’s a 10 inch Windows 8 tablet with 2GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, an Intel Atom processor, and up to 10 hours of battery life.
The company introduced the tablet earlier this summer, promising it’d launch for $500 and up. But now that it’s available for purchase, the price seems to have jumped to $599.
Lenovo has a tendency to offer promotions on a regular basis, so it probably won’t be long before you can buy this tablet for $100 off with the appropriate coupon. But right now it’s one of the more expensive Intel Atom-powered tablets on the market.
Detailed specs include a 1366 x 768 pixel IPS display, a capacitive touchscreen, a 1MP front-facing camera, a microSD card slot, micro USB port, micro HDMI port, and stereo speakers. The tablet has 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0, and features a 1.8 GHz Intel Atom Z2760 Clover Trail processor.
It measures 10.4″ x 6.8″ x 0.4″ and weighs 1.3 pounds and sports a 6800mAh battery.
Lenovo plans to offer a keyboard case that lets you prop up the tablet and type away as if you were using a laptop. But that accessory doesn’t seem to be available yet.
