Acer has released a few low-cost Android tablets with 7 and 8 inch screens this year, but it’s been a while since we’ve seen a new 10 inch model from Acer. It looks like that could soon change.
A new tablet called the Acer Iconia A3 showed up the GFXBench website recently, and it appears to be a budget 10 inch tablet with a MediaTek processor.
Technically the benchmark results don’t give us the screen size or the processor model. But what we do know is that the tablet seems to run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, have a 1280 x 800 pixel display and a CPU that runs from 497 MHz to 1209 MHz and PowerVR SGX 544 graphics.
Those are the same frequencies as the Acer Iconia A1, which suggests the new tablet has the same MediaTek MT8125 CPU as that $179 tablet
As for the screen size, Notebook Italia reported earlier this summer that Acer would soon launch a 10 inch tablet called the Iconia A3.
Judging by the CPU and the screen resolution, it seems safe to assume this’ll be a relatively low-cost tablet if and when it hits the streets this fall.
